Sophie Pacini – piano
„Her expressivity never becomes an end in itself:
at any one moment her playing is artistic,
contemplative, surprising and illuminating“
(Neue Zürcher Zeitung)

Since her concert debut at the age of just eight, the young German-Italian pianist Sophie Pacini has conquered the stages of the world’s most important concert halls. At the age of just 19, she completed her concert exam at the Mozarteum Salzburg’s Highly Gifted Institute with distinction.

Since then, she has delighted audiences with acclaimed piano recitals at renowned international piano festivals such as the Ruhr Piano Festival, the Rheingau Music Festival and the Lucerne Festival.

A very special project close to her heart for the Munich-born pianist is her own festival “Nuancen”, which was launched in 2023 and takes place in Sophie’s home town near Munich.

Sophie Pacini performs with renowned orchestras such as the Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra, the Zurich Tonhalle Orchestra and the Tokyo Philharmonic orchestra.

Her outstanding achievements have been recognized with numerous awards, including the International Classical Music Award ‚ICMA‘ in 2017 and the ECHO Klassik as “Young Artist of the Year” (piano) in 2015.

Her albums “In Between” (2018), “Rimenbranza” (2020) and “Puzzle” (2022) stormed straight into the top ten of the German classical music charts. With her current successful album “bittersweet” (2025), Sophie Pacini also hits the nerve of the times: inspired by a moving concert in a Munich women’s shelter, she created her very personal diary, which is also intended to be understood as a musical consolation for people in personal crises.

Sophie Pacini has been committed to bringing classical music to children and young people for years and wants to make classical music accessible to everyone, everywhere.

She recently played at the largest women’s refuge in Bavaria – a commitment she would like to expand throughout Germany in the future.

She has a special friendship with the legendary Martha Argerich, with whom she regularly plays duo concerts.
